Logistics
- We will utilize tourist visas, not religious visas, so we will not be allowed to preach or teach using this visa.
- We will have local Cuban staff who will coordinate with local churches and the tour company.

We will ask each group to bring specific items that the Cuban church has asked for. Distribution will be through the denominational office to address local needs.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Depart Home
Depart your home city and travel to Havana. After completing visa and immigration procedures in Havana, continue to your hotel for check-in and dinner. You will have an orientation presentation by a representative of the Cuban Methodist Church this evening.
Day 2 Havana
Today, we will visit Old Havana. Visit the Plaza de San Francisco de Asís and contemplate his message and influence in this evolving situation. See Plaza Vieja, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, and the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary. Visit Hemingway’s house before returning to your hotel.
Day 3 San José, Guines, and Mayabeque Province
Experience the growth of Cuban Methodism when you visit house churches in San José and Guines, Mayabeque Province. Meet the local pastors, hear their stories, and deepen your understanding of the growth of the church here. Visit the Methodist Center, where a guest speaker will further explain the work of the Methodist church in Havana and across Cuba. Continue to the Christ of Havana statue before visiting the picturesque Fort of San Carlos.
Day 4 Pinar del Rio province
Travel to the west of Cuba and visit Pinar del Rio province and its rural countryside. Visit house churches in Loma de Candelaria and La Conchita and meet with pastors and leaders over lunch. Drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Viñales Valley while our staff and your guide help you process and reflect upon your day’s activities. Return to Havana for overnight and dinner.
Day 5 Marianao Methodist Church
Depart for Sunday worship at Marianao Methodist Church. Time permitting, visit the Methodist nursing home across the street from the church before the service. After the service, enjoy lunch with a family and a translator before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Methodist Evangelical Seminary
Visit the Methodist Evangelical Seminary and learn how pastors are equipped to lead the local church. After your morning visit, you will travel to the state capitol in the heart of Havana to set the stage for understanding the unique challenges the church faced in the midst of a transitioning country. Visit a local market while conversing with its artisans to learn how/if the growing church influences their lives. Enjoy a 2-hour panoramic vintage car ride. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 Return Home
Enjoy a group reflection time with a representative from the Methodist Church of Cuba. Depart to the airport for your flights home.
